Types of Power of Attorney
General Power of Attorney
Owl Guardian Services support people who may be unwell or struggling to manage their affairs, but have full capacity to appoint an attorney. A General Power of Attorney is especially suited to someone who is in the position of having to move into a care home and requires support with finding the right care placement, sorting out their home and contents, ending a tenancy or selling a property.
We understand how unsettling and worrying this time can be but we aim to make the transition as smooth as possible, whilst being sensitive to our client’s needs.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney is registered with the Office of the Public Guardian. It allows us to continue to act on behalf of an individual (in property and financial affairs) if and when they are unable to make decisions for themselves at a future point in time.
