"On the death of his mother 20 years ago, Christopher (who has a learning disability) came under the care of Bucks Social Services whilst living on his own. It soon became clear – after several occasions of financial abuse – that this care was inadequate, and he was moved to a sheltered complex in Aylesbury.

His financial care at that time was undertaken by his cousins living in Southsea (150 miles away). Again, it soon became clear that this was not an appropriate situation, and after a few months, it was decided – on advice from Social Services and their recommendation – that a home health care service such as Owl Guardian Services would be required.

They very soon applied for a Court of Protection Order for Chris and began managing all his financial affairs. In the last 7 years that Chris has been under their care, all his finances have been managed extremely well and very appropriately.

Owl Guardian Services personnel have often gone far beyond their remit of purely financial management and, as far as Chris’s family are concerned, no-one could improve on their involvement."
